April Fools Comedy Classics

Bergen County Film Commission in association with the Fort Lee FIlm Commission Presents: April Fools Comedy Classics at the Rivoli Theatre of the Williams Center in Rutherford, NJ. This 3-part film festival opens April 3rd at 7:30pm with a screening of Bud Abbott & Lou Costello's 1942 comedy classic "Pardon My Sarong." The Rivoli Theatre was built in 1923 as a vaudeville theatre that hosted many acts including Bud & Lou. This theatre is the new home of the Bergen County Film Commission. Full schedule of films for this festival are:

April 3rd at 7:30pm - Abbott & Costello in "PArdon My Sarong" April 10th at 7:30pm - Laurel & Hardy in "Sons of the Desert" April 17th at 7:30pm - The Marx Brothers in "A Night at the Opera." All tickets $7 at the door with a "2 for 1" tickets available with presentation of promotional postcard or advertisement. Garden State Film Festival Honors Lou Costello as part of the April 4-6, 2008 Garden State Film Festival in Asbury Park, NJ.

The Garden State Film Festival is pleased to announce that our dear friend Chris Costello, daughter of New Jersey's own Lou Costello, will joins us this April to honor her father with our Lifetime Achievement Award for acting. In addition, we will institute the "Lou Costello Award" for comedy - short films. This fulfills the GArden State FIlm Festival mission to recognize the outstanding contribution "Abbott & Costello" made to our industry, our State and our lives.
